Encouraging TAs to apply
spacer

There are many benefits to both TAs and their schools in achieving HLTA status.

TAs can understandably be apprehensive about undertaking the assessment, concerned about the amount of work involved or worried that they won’t meet all the standards. One way to encourage TAs is to show them the ten reasons and case studies sections of this website. It can also help to give them the opportunity to talk to HLTAs in local schools.

Your Local Authority will be able to advise you about ways to reassure your staff, contact other HLTAs and many offer briefing sessions or visits to discuss some of the issues. You can find contact details for your Local Authority on the contact us page. At Eastern Leadership Centre we also have experienced staff who will be able to answer queries and give advice – find our contact details on the contact us page.
