Learning, achieving, inspiring

Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) work alongside teachers providing excellence in teaching support. Becoming a HLTA could help you to develop your skills as well as your knowledge and understanding of how young people learn.

HLTAs work closely with teachers, in the school and in the classroom, supporting pupils of different ages and abilities with curriculum and pastoral matters.

Click here for new F0 – F3 forms (Forms are grouped together in a zipped format. Simply double click the downloaded file to open in your computers default zip viewer)

In 2009 we conducted some research into the impact that HLTAs have on learning. Please click here to see a summary of the results, and to read about what a difference HLAs make.

For your chance to have your say on the impact HLTAs have in your school please click the link HLTA Impact Questionnaire and complete our quick questionnaire. You could win £50 worth of vouchers for your school.
